Odd little gun first produced in Czechoslovakia in 1959, adopted in 1961. Name means "sub-machine gun, model of 1961". Chambered in a variety of calibres, including 7.65x17mm (.32ACP), 9x19mm Parabellum/Luger, 9x18mm Makarov and 9x17mm (.380ACP). Mechanism included to reduce the firing rate to a more manageable level.
